WEIGHING

Who watches the weigh-in videos?

Weigh-in videos will only be viewed by a judge of the same sex as the athlete. Remember to post your weigh-in videos as unlisted on Youtube, so that our team of judges is the only one who can access them.

How to post an "unlisted" video ?

Check our tutorial just here :  https://powercontest.fr/en/how-to-post-your-video-on-youtube/

Which applications to use to record weighings?

It is essential that you use an application that automatically inserts the date and time of the video recording.

Can I weigh myself and perform the 1st complex on two different days?

It is entirely possible that you weigh yourself on day X and perform the complex on day Y, as long as these videos are made within the time limit defined by the regulations. Both videos must be posted at the same time.

Why is there two weighings?

The two weighings allow us to have Sinclair scores as close as possible to reality by taking in consideration weight variation during the month and a half of qualification.

What are the deadlines for posting them?

The first weigh-in must be carried out from Saturday January 7 at 12:00 p.m. (UTC+1 – Paris time) and posted at the same time as the 1st complex before Thursday January 19 at 8:00 p.m. (UTC+1 – Paris time).

The second weigh-in must be carried out from Saturday February 4 at 12:00 p.m. (UTC+1 – Paris time) and posted at the same time as the 3rd complex before Thursday February 16 at 8:00 p.m. (UTC+1 – Paris time).

RANKING & PENALTIES

How is the ranking defined?

Event rankings are based on Sinclair points. You can calculate it here: https://halterophiliefrance.fr/calcul-de-liwf-sinclair/

The first in the ranking will be awarded 1 point, the second, 2 points, etc. The athlete with the lowest point total will be declared the winner of the qualifying phase.

Do I have to be in my weight class?

There is no need to “fit” into a weight class as our competition is based on Sinclair points, and it does not act as a qualifying competition in any federation anyway.

What happens if I don't enter one of my scores?

In this case, you will be ranked absolute last (last in terms of number of participants) in this event. For example, if 200 participants are registered, 30 of them do not enter their score, they will all be awarded 200 points.

FINAL

When will I know if I have qualified for the final?

The final results will be published on Sunday March 5 at 6:00 p.m. (UTC+1 – Paris time). If you are borderline qualified, you may be drafted within 6 weeks of publication.

What is the deadline for validating my participation in the final?

You will have 6 weeks after the confirmation of the classification to validate or not your presence at the final.

What is the price for taking part in the final?

The price is €25 per participant.

When and where will the final take place?

The final will take place on Saturday August 27 and Sunday August 28, 2023 at PowerCamp (Bordeaux, France).
